Water Chemistry

Often overlooked is the importance of maintaining your Water Chemistry late in the Season.

Protect your investment!

Ensure that your Water Chemistry is balanced. Make the necessary adjustments in advance of your Pool Closing.

Avoid the damaging properties of unbalanced water while increasing the effectiveness of the winterizing chemicals.

The management of factors such as pH, total alkalinity, calcium harness up until your closing date, will help to provide protection against costly repairs due to corrosion or scaling.

Chemical Kits

Available through Aquadam Pool Services are a variety of Chemical products and packages from Mursatt Chemicals Ltd.

The addition of a

WinterCare Chemical Kit

that includes a Shock Treatment, an Algaecide and a Stain & Scale product as a preventative measure is recommended.

Water Clarity Next Spring

In the case of Waterbag Covers or Lock In Covers:

The most significant factor influencing water clarity in the spring is the condition of your Winter Cover.

Over time, certain types of covers may wear thin and become porous, allowing debris to pass through the cover and settle on the bottom.

In most cases, it is essential to create a distinct barrier between the pool water and surface debris collected during the winter.

If you suspect your winter cover is in need of replacement, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss replacement cover options.

Waterbag Covers, Lock in Covers, and Custom Safety Covers are all available through Aquadam Pool Services.
